Last week I drove out to Butler to visit The Mansion, a beautiful former residence turned event space. I was driving on Route 8 for about 45 minutes when I decided to look at my navigation on my phone, as I knew I must be getting close. According to my map locator on my phone I had passed it, so I turned around and paid more close attention to the directions… Driving fairly slow I was shocked when my directions informed me that I had once again passed my destination. Now I am starting to get frustrated, and what happens next? Uh huh, my gas light comes on, I really just want to get to The Mansion so I turn around again, ignoring my gas light and slowly search for the entrance… I passed it again, jeez am I ever going to find this place? My navigation is telling me to turn left on Mansion Rd…. but I don’t see it anywhere. What should I do, continue to drive back and forth until I find it, or go and get gas just in case? I am starting to feel like am in an episode of The Twilight Zone. I pull over on the side of the road and intensely stare at the map, concluding that perhaps I am a few hundred yards away, and I have been turning around prematurely.
I laugh and myself and finally I see a gorgeous sign that says The Mansion with a breathtaking entrance to the grounds. I am blown away by the scenery as I drive up the path. Everything is so secluded, and tucked away deep into the woods I stumble across the magnificent mansion.
As I approach the front door, all of my anxiety from being lost for a half an hour disappear. I am just so thrilled to finally be entering The Mansion. Inside I am greeted by Donna, she is the grounds manager and is in charge of hosting all of the events. As she gives me a tour of the interior my mind starts racing with different decorating ideas, there is just so much you can do, although it does have a romantic theme throughout. Equipped with tables and chairs for up to 240 people, 2 built in bars, and several different patios, you’re sure to have a spectacular event at this location!
I felt like a princess when I walked in, with a grand foyer and antique chandeliers, the elegance and beauty of The Mansion feels a bit like a ballroom in a fairytail castle. Any bride would be happy to celebrate her big day in this luxorious setting.
During my tour of The Mansion, I felt confident that this venue would be a great fit for City Gourmet. Naturally we discussed us being a part of events at this location, and here is what I found out….
when you rent the facilities it is a blank canvas, and you can do as much or as little as YOU want, this includes choosing your own caterer, however there is a list of caterers provided by The Mansion to help you decide.
City Gourmet is happy to announce that they are the newest caterers affiliated with The Mansion! When you visit The Mansion you will find all of the information you need to contact me to help plan your next event!!!
I had such a great time chatting with Donna and left feeling like it was a pretty successful visit. As i am driving back down the windy road I am reminded that I need to find a gas station, and I chuckle to myself remembering my recent experience… all in all a great day!
I am so excited to be working with The Mansion, and I look forward to helping you plan your Big Day!
